Jandy Nelson (New York, 1965) is a renowned American author of young adult literature. Before turning to writing, she worked as a literary agent for 13 years. She holds a degree from Cornell University and has several Master of Fine Arts degrees, including one in Children's and Young Adult Literature from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Her first novel, The Sky Is Everywhere (2010), was well received by critics and adapted into a film in 2022. Her second work, I'll Give You the Sun (2014), won the Michael L. Printz Award and the Josette Frank Award, and was a finalist for the California Book Award. In 2024, she published When the World Tips Over, a novel that explores themes of love, secrets, and enchantment, and was selected as one of the best young adult books of the year by Kirkus Reviews.
