Javiera Hurtado (Valencia, 1980) writes under the pseudonym Mimmi Kass. She borrowed the affectionate nickname from her Irish grandmother, from whom she inherited a love for books, a passion for travel, and for finding the hidden beauty in things. A pediatrician by profession, she has been writing since she was given her first diary with a little lock on her seventh birthday.
She won her first literary contest in high school with "Una danza negra," a story about teenage suicide. During her university years in Chile, where she studied Medicine, she also enrolled in several extracurricular literature courses.
Love crossed her path because of a Galician and she returned to Spain, so despite living in several countries around the world (Spain, Chile, Portugal, Ireland, and the United States), she considers herself from Pontevedra, the city where her two children were born.
In 2016 she finally decided to show her writings to the world, first as an independent author and later with her novel Ardiendo (Harlequin). In 2019, Bajo la aurora boreal won the XII Terciopelo Prize for Romantic Fiction (Roca Editorial).
Since 2021, Editorial Planeta has become her home (imprints Esencia, Zafiro, and Booket), and she publishes the erotic trilogy Fetiches, as well as Síntomas de locura, the first novel of the "De carne y hueso" series, her specialty: medical romance. With Radiografía del deseo, her best-selling novel on Amazon is reissued with a new cover, impeccable editing, and unpublished scenes that deliver a unique story.
