José María Zavala is a journalist, writer, and film director. Author of more than forty books on the Bourbons or the Spanish Civil War, he has worked for over thirty years in the newsrooms of the newspapers El Mundo and Expansión, and in Capital magazine. He collaborates on the program Cuarto Milenio, on Cuatro TV, and in the newspaper La Razón. But in his life as a husband and father, there is a before and after, since his tumbling conversion through the intercession of Padre Pío, of whom he is a spiritual son. Hence, his most beloved book, and the one that changed his life, is Padre Pío.
