Eduardo Alonso González, born in Murias de Aller, Asturias, in 1944, is a Spanish writer with a degree in Romance Philology from the University of Oviedo. He has served as a professor of Literature at the Benlliure Institute in Valencia and as an associate professor of Contemporary Literature at the Literary University of Valencia. Throughout his career, he has published more than a dozen novels, including "El mar inmóvil" (1980), "El insomnio de una noche de invierno" (1984), and "Los jardines de Aranjuez" (1986), all in the narrative genre.

Additionally, Alonso has adapted literary classics such as "Don Quijote de la Mancha" and "La Celestina" to make them accessible to young audiences. He has also ventured into fictionalized biography with works like "Ana Frank: La memoria del Holocausto" (2018). His literary work has been recognized with awards such as the Villa de Bilbao (1980) for "El mar inmóvil", the Azorín (1986) for "El insomnio de una noche de invierno", and the Gabriel Miró de relatos (1996) for "Los estorninos".
