Sui Ishida es un mangaka japonés conocido principalmente por ser el creador de la exitosa serie Tokyo Ghoul. Nació el 28 de diciembre de 1985 en Fukuoka, Japón. Desde joven mostró interés por el dibujo y la narrativa oscura, elementos que más adelante se reflejarían en su obra más reconocida.
Debutó profesionalmente con Tokyo Ghoul en 2011, publicada en la revista Weekly Young Jump. La historia, centrada en un joven que se convierte en mitad ghoul —criaturas que deben alimentarse de carne humana—, combina acción, horror psicológico y profundas reflexiones sobre la identidad y la exclusión social.
