Synopsis "A Redhead Acts Up"

Named after the red-headed Welsh goddess of love, Gwener's looks are a real head-turner. She is also an actress of exceptional talent, widely admired after her success in a TV crime drama series. The evil Ahmed Muldoon is a trafficker in women. He abducts Gwener to sell her for a million to Fyodor, an absurdly wealthy Russian oligarch. Using her acting skills, she escapes by guile and arson. Fyodor, duped by Muldoon into thinking that Gwener is a willing party to becoming his mistress and will get the money, meets with her and is furious on learning the truth. Together they try to find Muldoon and put an end to his game. Bent on vengeance, Muldoon abducts her again, threatening her with a grim future and after that mutilation, sure to destroy her looks. Fyodor acts, calling in his chief of security Paul Black, an ex-Metropolitan Police DCS, for search and rescue. But is it too late for Gwener? What is the role of the Patriarch of Antioch in all this, and what is the deep secret that Muldoon's side-kick Clive is guarding? The last act is at the In-and-Out Club, favoured haunt of the Intelligence world, where the slightest shake of the head clinches matters.
