Synopsis "Before December (by Your Side, 1)"

**Over 1 million copies sold of the series**In an open relationship for the first time, a college student finds the perfect hookup with her roommate's edgy friend in this sexy, angsty, emotional new adult romance from international bestseller Joana Marcús.For Jenna Brown, her first year of college means cutting herself off from her family and friends, and for the first time in her life, facing the world on her own. Her boyfriend has made his intentions clear to her: from the moment he drops her off on campus, they will have an open, long-distance relationship. Both will be able to explore different relationships, knowing that in the end they still love each other and they'll be back together at the end of the semester. Then she meets her roommate's boyfriend's best friend, Jack Ross. Jack seems to want to get to know her, so why not spend time with him? Everything will go back to normal in December, when she returns home for winter break and reconnects with her boyfriend, won't it? But hearts are complicated, and perhaps things aren't so simple as Jenna takes her relationship further with Jack.

Joana Marcús, born in Mallorca in 2000, divides her time between her studies, her books, and her pets. Since she was young, she knew she loved writing, although her first texts were only short stories. It was not until she was thirteen that she dared to publish her first complete story on Wattpad, where she has continued writing to this day.

She has been a winner of the Wattys Awards twice for her novels Irresistible Proposal in 2016 and Cities of Smoke in 2019. She is one of the youngest authors to achieve international bestseller success. In 2021, Before December ranked among the top 10 best-selling novels in various countries. In 2022, she was the best-selling author just behind the Harry Potter books. She traveled to various countries and cities to promote her stories. For example, in Madrid, where she brought the Gran Vía to a standstill, and in Mexico, where she gathered hundreds of readers at the FIL in Guadalajara.
