Synopsis "Big Data Analysis in Decision Making"

This final project addresses the topic of analyzing large volumes of data through an intuitive decision-support website designed for administrative staff in companies. Through a quantitative, longitudinal, and descriptive case study, the project highlights the importance of data-driven decision-making, particularly for microenterprises-which account for 93% of MSMEs in Mexico- with convenience stores and grocery stores accounting for 11% of that total. The research provides a powerful, free tool that can assist microentrepreneurs in analyzing their sales. The overall objective of the research was to describe the insights derived from the use of an intuitive website by administrative staff to analyze large volumes of data at a convenience store in Hermosillo, Sonora, with the aim of making strategic decisions in the area of sales. The study highlights the need to support decision-making in organizations, especially in an ever-changing business environment.
