Synopsis "+ BORGES (in Spanish)"

Este libro se titula + Borges porque su aspiración es contribuir a
la bibliografía crítica sobre el maestro argentino y su obra, y
también porque continúa, amplía y corrige un libro mío anterior,
Borgeana, de 2009. Aquel libro, que reunía ensayos que escribí a
lo largo de varios años y a los que articulé en un orden que se
acomodaba a la biografía del autor, contenía ya atisbos de la tesis
que desarrollo en éste, la del Borges “colonial”, pero sin haber
logrado aún una formulación que me pareciera suficiente. En +
Borges, de modos diversos, en escenarios y con matices
igualmente diversos, pero renunciando de antemano a cualquier
pretensión que mi lectura de los textos que comento sea la única
válida, me gustaría haberlo logrado. Quien me lea dirá si ello es
así y, más importante todavía, le dará o no su aprobación.

Grínor Rojo holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Iowa, United States (1971). His areas of expertise include Literature and culture in Latin America, Critical theory, and Latin American Theater. He is the author of over 150 publications, including articles, book chapters, and books. Among them, the most recent are: Critical History of Chilean Literature. Vol. I. The Colonial Era. Santiago de Chile. LOM Editores, 2017, co-edited with Carol Arcos; The Novels of the Dictatorship and Post-Dictatorship in Chile. Vol. I. Santiago de Chile. LOM Editores, 2016; The Novels of the Dictatorship and Post-Dictatorship in Chile. Vol. II. Santiago de Chile. LOM Editores, 2016; The Slices of the Trade. Essays, Interviews, Memoirs. Santiago de Chile. LOM Editores, 2014; Modern Chilean Narrative. Vol. II. Chilean Bildungsroman and Counter-Bildungsroman. Santiago de Chile. Sangría Editores, 2013; From the Highest Peaks. He has supervised numerous master's and doctoral theses, both at Cecla and the Department of Literature at the University of Chile. In research, he has been awarded numerous national Fondecyt projects and has collaborated on several international ones. He is currently the lead researcher of the Fondecyt project "Latin American Culture of the Second Modernity: 1920-1973". Among the courses he has taught recently are: Theory of the Novel, Theory of Poetry, and Latin American Culture of the Second Modernity: 1920-1973.
