Synopsis "Clean It, Close It, Watch It"

The wound is not the problem. What grows in it is. A cut that would be forgotten in a week at home can become a serious infection in a place with no clinic, dirty water and a long way to go. Most of that is preventable with clean water, a few cheap items and the habit of looking at the wound every day. This book teaches, in plain words with pictures: how to clean a wound properly, when to close it and when to leave it open, how to dress it, what to do for blisters, burns, punctures, bites and eyes, how to spot an infection early, and the signs that mean stop everything and go. Written for people with no medical training Fits a glove box, a daypack, or a desk drawer Quick-reference card and wound log you can copy Book 4 in The Ditch Doctor's Guide to Survival
