Planet Earth had been called by many names before, but never "husband."Since the dawn of their creation, humanity has been tearing itself apart. But now it's also invading other planets, forcing the Superior Council to take action. When he's condemned to exile beyond the Solar System, Earth faces a choice: be forced to wed, or watch his creations die with him. Then, a strange salvation arrives: Astrea, a golden planet of light from another galaxy, and Earth's utter opposite. She is perfect, and so is her creation. But Earth is convinced he's cursed, and he doesn't want to be saved, not if it might mean sacrificing his creation or his very nature.Innocent and graceful, Astrea sees Earth's seven billion souls as worth saving, even if it means defying the Council she's always trusted. Searching for answers, she follows her sullen new fiancé into the cosmos. But the further they venture, the more they realize Astrea's idea of perfection is flawed, and what's poisoning humanity is something deeper than they ever dared imagine. For readers who love Lore Olympus, The Sandman, and the brooding intensity of 2000s emo rock, Crossringed offers a very different kind of god. Earth is powerful, guarded, and convinced fate has given him plenty of reasons to be miserable. He's the brooding, black-clad planet who would rather suffer alone than discuss his feelings...until he meets Astrea, and his protective instincts come roaring to life. From moons to constellations, this adult epic romantasy brings personified celestial bodies, Y2K-style urban fantasy, and light cosmic/sci-fi elements together in a sweeping closed-door romance. For anyone who likes their immortal love interests powerful, damaged, secretly tender, and just a little emo, Earth is the deity you've been waiting for.Steam Level: 2/5
