Synopsis "Das Schloss (in German)"

Franz Kafka schrieb den Roman Das Schloss 1922, vollendete ihn aber zunächst nicht. Das Buch erschien posthum 1926. Ein Dorf, unterhalb eines Schlosses ohne nähere geografische Bestimmung liegt, von wo aus es beherrscht wird. Ein Fremder namens K folgt einer angeblichen Einladung aus dem Schloss und reist von weither an, um als Landvermesser zu arbeiten, doch alle Versuche, mit der Schlossbehörde in Kontakt zu kommen, scheitern. Allmählich beginnt K., sich wie die anderen Dorfbewohner der undurchsichtigen Macht des Schlosses zu beugen.
