Doppelgänger
Edward Bloor (Author) · Chapbook Press - Schuler Books · Paperback
Doppelgänger tells the story of two eighth grade girls with very different lives. Annie Barton lives with her single mother in a rented apartment in Jamaica, Queens. Willow Vernet lives with her parents in a high rise condo on Central Park West in Manhattan.
Yet these girls have one thing in common, one big thing-they are doppelgängers; they look and sound exactly alike.
Because of this, Willow gets pushed by two friends-Billy and Raven-to contact Annie. They entice her into several small performances as Willow; then into impersonating Willow at the entrance exam for a prestigious music school.
Edward Bloor is the author of seven highly successful young adult novels including the million-selling Tangerine, the Edgar Allan Poe Award nominee Story Time, and the Sunshine State Book Taken. He was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, and graduated from Fordham University in New York City. He has worked as a teacher in the Florida public school system and as an editor in educational publishing. He currently lives in Florida with his wife; they have two children and three grandchildren. His self-published novels include Memory Lane, Many Mansions, and the duology Summer of Smoke and Candlemas Eve.
