Synopsis "dragon riders"

Emily and her three best friends, Anne, Joseph, and William, graduate as full-fledged dragon riders after their nine year apprenticeship just as a power hungry baron tries to take over the nation of Draconia. It is up to Emily and the other dragon riders to thwart the baron's plans to slaughter all dragons and take the throne for himself. Draconia is one of four nations on a wonderful world where some have the ability to communicate telepathically with other species, and this telepathic communication is used to strengthen peaceful relations between the world's four nations. Dragons protect Draconia, gryphons guard Forbury, unicorns watch over Granvale, and finally dolphins look after Sanwight. Each of these special creatures bonds with a human rider in a strong telepathic symbiotic relationship, working for the good of their individual nations and their world as a whole. But Baron Geldsmith decides to change everything. He hates telepathic bonding because it is an ability which he neither possesses, nor is able to control or manipulate.
