Synopsis "Ecmo: expérience monocentrique (in French)"

Il s'agit d'une étude rétrospective descriptive avec comparaison aux données récentes de la littérature. L'objectif de cette étude était de démontrer l'intérêt que peut avoir un centre hospitalier général à pouvoir initier et gérer ce type de thérapeutique dans l'optique d'une amélioration de la mortalité notamment dans des situations extrêmes. Elle a concerné l'analyse des dossiers de patients ayant bénéficié de l'implantation d'une assistance cardio-respiratoire de type ECMO dans le centre hospitalier de Colmar sur une période de 2 ans (2012 -2014). Au total 19 patients ont été inclus (12 femmes et 7 hommes ). L'âge moyen était de 47,5 ans [17- 76 ans]. Neuf ECMO de type veino-veineuse ont été implantées (47.37%) dans des indications respiratoires (Syndrome de Détresse Respiratoire Aiguë essentiellement) et 10 ECMO de type veino-artérielle (52.63%) dans indications hémodynamiques (myocardites et arrêts cardio-repiratoires essentiellemet). Des défaillances poly-viscérales étaient notées chez 6 patients (31.57%) conduisant systématiquement au décès de ces malades. Le taux de survie à 6 mois était 31,7%.
