In the present day, Detective Katrina Jenson investigates a series of ritualistic murders, the latest victim displaying a gruesome "blood eagle" method of torture. Partnered with the mysterious Detective Jacobs, Katrina must unravel the supernatural connections between these crimes and the Witch's ancient evil. Meanwhile, Sam is drawn into the Witch's machinations when he is tasked with locating a missing woman named Annabelle Scavenger, a lead that puts him on a collision course with the dark forces at work.

As Sam tracks Annabelle to a remote forest, he witnesses a disturbing ritual and rescues her from the clutches of the Witch's cult.
