Julie Vivas is a distinguished Australian illustrator born in 1947 in Sydney. She studied interior design and animation in Sydney, and published her first illustrated book in 1980. Her illustrations, especially in watercolor, have been internationally acclaimed.

She has collaborated with authors such as Mem Fox and Margaret Wild. For her contribution to children's literature, she has received awards like the Dromkeen Medal.
