In the present era of globalization and Information Revolution English has spread throughout the world and has become the undisputed the lingua franca. At this juncture, in order to fully participate in the world and benefit from the myriad opportunities it entails, and be a part of its interconnected economic, technological and geopolitical relations one requires fluency in written English, together with command of spoken English. However, in spite of the fact that English is a second language in India, writing has been given hardly any priority. This makes the students resort to learning by rote and reproduce answers in the examinations. The present book comes as an answer to this problem. In the Indian context writing is the most important skill as everyone wants to gain proficiency in English in order to overcome social and economic disadvantages.
