Ein zwölfjähriges Mädchen kommt der mörderischen Hausmeisterin auf die Schliche. Niemand ahnt wer - oder besser gesagt was - Jessika ist. Doch dann trifft sie auf Johannes, der alles über sie zu wissen scheint. Der sogar zu wissen scheint, wie man mit ihresgleichen fertig werden und dabei überleben kann. Zumindest sieht es zuerst ganz danach aus, als habe Jessikas Treiben bald ein Ende.
