Synopsis "Kari"

Kari Kirkman's father has big plans for her future. A prosperous businessman, he is used to getting his way...even if he must keep his twenty-year-old daughter hostage in their mansion on Long Island. But his intention to force her to marry Derrick Corbett is the last straw and, no matter what happens, she is determined to escape their stately home and live life on her terms. Jumping from her second-story bedroom window, and sliding down the tree outside, she sets off to a safe refuge. Tired and sore, Kari accepts a ride from the mysterious Mark. He promises her safe passage, but instead kidnaps and takes her to a secret hideaway. With no hope of escape, Kari is facing an uncertain future with the manipulative Mark. Will his attempts at seduction work, or will Kari escape and return home to an uncertain future with Derrick? And will her father ever forgive her for running from him and defying his orders?
