The city of Paris remembers everything... except the people it wants to forget. Inès Benamar's world shatters when she wakes up one morning to find her eight-year-old brother, Noé, has vanished. His room is now a smooth, freshly painted wall. His face has been edited out of every family photo. Her own mother doesn't remember she ever had a son. Noé has been claimed by L'Oubli-The Forgetting. But Inès refuses to let her brother disappear. Driven by a clue and armed with an unshakeable will, she plunges into the Paris Underground. There, she discovers a terrifying secret: a ghost train called Line 0. This train runs on the fuel of lost memories, preying on the undocumented, the poor, and the abandoned. Its currency is the past, and its passengers are children who have been erased from existence. To save Noé, Inès must board the train, navigating through stations that are portals to the city's darkest chapters: from the bloody barricades of the 1871 Commune to the crumbling housing projects of 2004. She is not alone. Bound together by loss, she joins a group of forgotten kids who call themselves The Turnstile Kids. But the city has a powerful bureaucratic machine designed to ensure you stay forgotten. To fight it, Inès learns you can't punch a system-you have to beat it with paperwork, memory, and an act of radical witness. Line 0: We Remember For You is a dark, gritty YA fantasy about love, resistance, and the war against being erased.
