Pickles. The Ferry - ADAM BEDARD

Pickles is stuck. His biplane is grounded for parts, and the only way to deliver fragile medical equipment to Catty's outpost is a two-day ferry through the Inside Passage.

The seas are rough. The ship is rolling. And the chief engineer won't let Pickles check on his cargo - no matter how many times he asks.

But when Pickles overhears the truth - that the engineer has been below deck for thirty-six hours keeping the steering from failing - everything he thought he knew turns upside down.

Some people carry burdens you can't see.

A story about humility, patience, and the work that keeps us all safe.
