Questions for the Murshid - Murshid F.A. Ali ElSenossi

The importance of a good question cannot be underestimated. The quality of a good answer is often heightened by the quality of the question. A good answer does answer the question, though not always in way we assume it would. A good answer increases knowledge, brings certainty, and quietens the turmoil that arises with the question. As such, a good question and its answer can give benefit far beyond that of the questioner and their interlocutor. This is amongst the reasons we have Questions for the Murshid. These questions were not asked and answered all at once. The contents of this book have been gathered from the almost 20 year run of The Treasure - Australia's Sufi Magazine. The questioners come from both outside and inside the path, reflecting various stages of human development. The answers are given by Murshid F. A. Ali ElSenossi, Shaykh within the Burhaniyya-Dasuqqiyya-Shadhuliyya Sufi Order and Spiritual Director of the Almiraj Sufi and Islamic Study Centre. Since being established, the Sufi Centre has relocated several times before finding a permanent home in Broken Hill, with Murshid Ali giving countless public talks across Australia and consistently meeting with members and visitors alike to help them gain further knowledge of the psychological spiritual teaching of Islam known as Sufism (tasawwuf). The answers draw from the immense ocean of knowledge that is Islam and its science of prophethood ('ilm al-nabuwwa).

It is hoped that with the publication of this book its contents will bring benefit to all who encounter its pages, that the knowledge contained herein becomes more accessible to a wider audience, and that it not only answers your questions but also assists in questioning your answers.
