Synopsis "Ramos de Vidrio (in Spanish)"

"Throughout a journey in search of her own racial and cultural identity, C. Margarita reflects this quest in Ramos de Vidrio. The exploration of diverse cultures in the Caribbean, the aesthetic appreciation of nature in Puerto Rico and situations of austerity become part of these themes. This publication begins with breathless subtlety of our "Isla del Encanto y del Caribe;" it goes through moments of transition with moments of resistance and struggle, in the face of atrophying measures to the island. The author demonstrates her consternation using colorful, delicate, and aching verses, providing rays of light and hope."
