Elizabeth Verdick is an American author specialized in children's literature, with a prolific career ranging from books for babies to teenagers. A graduate of Carleton College and with an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University, she has worked as a children's book editor before dedicating herself to writing.

Among her most notable works are "Teeth Are Not for Biting" (2003), "Feet Are Not for Kicking" (2004), and "Germs Are Not for Sharing" (2006), all of which belong to the genre of illustrated books for children and focus on the development of behavior and social skills. Additionally, she has written "Small Walt" (2017) and "Small Walt and Mo the Tow" (2018), which are also illustrated books aimed at children.
