Rules Written in Pencil - Patty May Zweydorff

Rules Written in Pencil continues The Sky Salvage Chronicles with a story of survival, control, trust, and the dangerous power of systems that claim to protect.

Bobby Smith has learned that rescue is never as clean as the reports make it sound. After a string of impossible corridor failures, hidden routes, and lives caught between official control and desperate need, Bobby and Continuance must decide what kind of help can still remain free.

As the Lunar Transit Authority tightens its grip, independent pilots, medics, traders, and survivors begin building something fragile: rules that can change before they become cages. But every act of help leaves a pattern. Every pattern can be watched. Every name can become a target.

When Continuance begins to change beyond the shape of a ship, Bobby faces the hardest question of all: how do you love something enough to let it become more than you can keep?

Blending science fiction, mystery, survival, and emotional discovery, Rules Written in Pencil is Book Two of The Sky Salvage Chronicles, a story about freedom, memory, impossible choices, and the people who keep moving when the old rules no longer hold.
