Synopsis "Secrets"

Marlene believes her husband set up secret cameras in their home. Her suspicion stems from an alleged spy pen she finds in the basement, a place where her spouse usually caves in to keep away from the family. His reasons for putting up that device are unknown, but Marlene is certain he hides something he doesn't want his wife and kids to know. This makes perfect sense to her. After all, William has become the estranged, angry husband and father who comes home late. All this unfolds after their teenage daughter announces she is pregnant. William doesn't take the news lightly, but Marlene won't let her children suffer from his irrational behavior. Therefore, she does the unthinkable: dig into his secrets to remove him from the house he refuses to leave. To make it happen, Marlene seeks help from a private investigator who believes William is involved in something illicit. This do-it-yourself espionage brings her into the darkest territory of her marriage. What will she find? Don Luis Zavala is the author of Oh My Holy Phone, The Santa Claus Kidnap, and several short stories. Secrets is his second published novel.
