Shadowmistress. Dark Opus - Jason Worley

The story follows Anna, a malnourished survivor of systemic abuse, who is pulled from the brink by a mysterious figure known as Blade. Taken to a secluded compound, Anna is initiated into the "Lady Blades"-a sisterhood of warriors being forged into a lethal vanguard. While the others master steel, Anna discovers a dormant, terrifying connection to the shadows. Under Blade's mentorship, she learns to command the darkness not just as a tool, but as a physical force.

As a war looms between the Shadow Mavens and the zealotry of the "Gleamcasters," Anna's journey becomes a "Dark Opus" of transformation. When a tragic sacrifice shatters her remaining ties to her old self, she must decide if she will lead her sisters as a protector or succumb to the terrifying authority of the Shadowmistress.
