SILVER TONGUE A Mike Ramble Action Thriller Someone is stealing their retirement savings. But the money isn't the real target. When retired merchant marine captain George Webb realizes the investment fund he trusted may be a sophisticated fraud, he turns to the one man he knows who can find the truth. Mike Ramble starts with a simple question: Where did the money go? The answer leads him to Danny Cole, a polished investment adviser who has spent six months quietly winning the trust of retirees in a wealthy Florida coastal community. Cole isn't a typical con man. His financial documents are legitimate. His investment instruments are real. His returns appear genuine. And that's what makes the scheme so dangerous. Because Cole isn't simply stealing money. He's using the residents' own savings to disable their ability to fight for their homes. Behind the investment fund is a second operation-one involving a corrupt homeowners association chairman, secret property deals, falsified financial records, manipulated court proceedings, and a development company preparing to take control of the entire community. The people most capable of stopping the takeover have been deliberately compromised. And Cole's operation is only one piece of a much larger machine. When Mike's investigation attracts the attention of professional security operator Bobby Park, the stakes turn personal. Park has been hired to make witnesses reconsider what they're telling investigators-and he's very good at his job. Then Cole makes his move. With federal investigators closing in, a forty-two-foot yacht waiting offshore, and the community's money about to disappear into an international financial network, Mike has only hours to stop Cole from escaping. But catching Cole reveals something far worse. The money trail leads through Waterway Holdings, offshore accounts, international shell companies, and a powerful financier who has been quietly directing criminal operations along the Florida coast for years. Now Mike Ramble is following the trail to the man at the top. Because SILVER TONGUE isn't just about a con man who knows how to lie. It's about an entire operation built on the belief that ordinary people won't look closely enough to see what's happening to them. And Mike Ramble has made looking closely his specialty. SILVER TONGUE is a fast-paced private investigator thriller and action mystery packed with financial fraud, corporate conspiracy, coastal crime, corrupt developers, undercover investigations, dangerous security operatives, offshore money, organized crime, federal investigations, and a relentless manhunt along Florida's Intracoastal Waterway. Perfect for fans of Lee Child, John D. MacDonald, Elmore Leonard, Michael Connelly, and smart, character-driven action thrillers featuring tough investigators, intricate conspiracies, and villains who are more dangerous because they don't look like villains. The money is missing. The community is being sold. And someone has been planning this for a very long time. Mike Ramble is about to find out why.
