Synopsis "Stand-In"

For decades, Marvin Reiss has stood in for comedian Eric Felden. He hits the mark, waits under the lights and steps aside when the star is ready. Off set, their lives have become harder to separate. Now Eric is receiving a lifetime achievement award, and Marvin has decided it is time someone heard his side of the story. With an audience of celebrities watching, he takes the stage and begins to recount their long improbable partnership. Eric wants his ceremony back. Marvin has spent a career knowing exactly when to step aside—but tonight he intends to finish the performance.
