The Perfect Pair - Barbara Barrett

Wielding charm, clout and generosity in Serendipity Springs’ society circles, Claudia and Blake Gilmore live up to their nickname of The Perfect Pair. Until Claudia dies in a shocking murder. With Blake under scrutiny as the chief suspect, his sister prevails upon Rick Formero and his fledgling business, Formero Investigations, to prove innocent.

The catch? Rick and fiancée Kat Faulkner, who’ve been prepping for a lavish wedding, are getting married in three days. But how can they deny the woman who just spent months helping Kat and her friends earn the certifications that will give them pro status at Rick’s detective agency?

Kat and the rest of the Formero Investigations team are confounded by clues at the gym where Claudia was killed, at the nonprofits where she did good work, and at her own elegant home. It seems someone went to a lot of trouble to plan the perfect murder of the perfect spouse. But why? As they rush to find answers before Kat and Rick’s big day, it becomes clear this dangerous case won’t be a piece of cake.
