The Unknown Road follows Virginia, a sharp-tongued, soft-hearted overachiever who learns early how to survive by holding everything together-even as her world is falling apart. At sixteen, she is pushed out of the only home she has ever known, carrying more than a suitcase: the weight of addiction, silence, and family unraveling. She becomes the keeper of what no one names-the fixer, the one who doesn't break, at least not where anyone can see.

Told through fragments of memory and moments that refuse to stay buried, Virginia's story moves between past and present as the forces that shaped her are slowly revealed.
