Synopsis "The Wheels Below the Equator"

What happens when the Pagan Wheel of the Year crosses the equator? Everything changes. For generations, many Pagan books have described Yule in December, Beltane in May, and Samhain in October. But what happens when December brings summer, May brings autumn, and the seasons follow an entirely different rhythm? The Wheels Below the Equator: Reimagining the Pagan Year in the Southern Hemisphere offers an accessible, practical guide to understanding and celebrating the eight Sabbats according to the seasons you actually experience.Explore the Southern Hemisphere's seasonal calendar, from Samhain in autumn and Yule in June to Beltane in October and Litha in December. Discover the meanings behind each festival, understand the differences between hemispheres, and learn how sunlight, weather, wildlife, plants, and regional climates shape your spiritual practice.Whether you live in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina, Chile, or elsewhere below the equator, this book helps you move beyond borrowed seasonal imagery. With clear explanations, thoughtful exercises, journal prompts, and a complete Southern Hemisphere Wheel of the Year appendix, you'll discover how to create meaningful traditions rooted in your surroundings.Stop following someone else's seasons. Start celebrating your own. Read more
