The Whopper - David L Nash;Lucas E Schwaller

Something is lurking in the Great North Woods of Wisconsin.

Arnie caught it on camera. Swede saw it too. At least, that was how the story goes.

Years later, Anrie finds himself setting up the deer stands while his grandchildren whisper nervously amongst the pines about the monster in the woods. The one their grandpa caught on camera. A story, he’s never told anyone. Not until tonight.

This big, hairy, frightening story examining friendship, loyalty, and lies was first published in the Dead Birds Publishing anthology Sasquatch is My Neighbor in 2024. It is reprinted here with permission.
