Synopsis "Through the Rock"

Through the Rock is the tale of a heavyweight high school wrestler from Iowa who comes to New York to become an actor. He's hurled into the madness of the city, including but not limited to: his aunt, an aging, embittered former model; a young black woman with whom he has a volatile love affair; a frenetic Jewish realtor obsessed with penetrating the WASP bastions of the city; and a gallery of gifted, neurotic, brilliant, inspiring, glamorous, deflating, heroic characters that inhabit New York theatre. It changes him-and he, in turn, changes it.
