Carlos González (Zaragoza, 1960) is a Spanish pediatrician and writer known for his humanistic approach to child rearing. He graduated in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and specialized in pediatrics at the Hospital de Sant Joan de Déu. He is the founder and president of the Catalan Association for Breastfeeding (ACPAM) and has been running the breastfeeding clinic in the magazine Ser Padres since 1996.

González is the author of several books that have had a significant impact on respectful parenting, including Bésame mucho: cómo criar a tus hijos con amor (2003), Mi niño no me come (1999), and Un regalo para toda la vida: guía de la lactancia materna (2007). These works have been translated into multiple languages and have influenced parents and health professionals around the world.

In addition to his work as a writer, González has taught over 100 courses on breastfeeding in various countries and has collaborated with publications such as Tu Bebé, Mente Sana, and Lecturas. He is married, has three children, and lives in Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain.
