Ce livre fait suite à Godefroy-Le-Cruel et Quentin-Le-Rebel, déjà publiés par les Editions Dédicaces, et termine cette histoire médiévale qui se déroule sous l'Empire Romain Germanique. L'auteur a tenté de respecter les moeurs plutôt dures de cette époque.Quentin a quitté son père avec son épouse, car ils ont été chassés par lui. Après avoir assassiné son ex-ami, il doit se cacher dans différents châteaux. Puis il se réconcilie avec son père. Ensuite il s'installe dans son propre château, mais il est arrêté puis emprisonné car il est dénoncé par Ulric.Une fois libéré, il retourne vivre chez son père, à Lanicey, et ils s'entendent enfin bien tous les deux. Ulric manipule Godefroy car celui-ci est devenu moins cruel avec l'âge et il a une entière confiance en son serviteur. Mais Ulric est un traître et un pervers...
