Synopsis "Wedi"

From a barefoot boy in war-torn Uganda to a visionary physician and philanthropist, Wedi: A Life Forged Through Fire is a powerful true story of extraordinary resilience, a mother's fierce sacrifice, and the enduring triumph of the human spirit.Born amidst poverty and political turmoil, Dr. Geoffrey Anguyo ("Wedi") endured displacement, hunger, and the harrowing realities of child soldiering. Yet, fueled by a relentless desire for education-funded in part by selling pineapples-he rose from the margins to Makerere University Medical School.Refusing to turn his back on the vulnerable, Dr. G founded the Kigezi Healthcare Foundation (KIHEFO), pioneering integrated mobile clinics and sustainable community empowerment that changed thousands of lives. A passionate nurse, mother, and wife from Chad, Colette Ndigyenouba shares his powerful story and journey in this book.
