Kamome Shirahama es una mangaka e ilustradora japonesa nacida en la prefectura de Chiba. Es conocida por su estilo elegante y minucioso, así como por su capacidad para combinar fantasía, emoción y un gran sentido del detalle visual. Desde joven mostró interés por el dibujo, la moda y la narrativa visual, lo que la llevó a estudiar diseño y arte antes de dedicarse profesionalmente al manga.

Inició su carrera como ilustradora de portadas y artista conceptual, realizando trabajos para Marvel y DC Comics, entre ellos ilustraciones para personajes como Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, Wonder Woman y Batgirl. Sin embargo, alcanzó gran reconocimiento internacional como autora de manga gracias a su serie Tongari Bōshi no Atelier (El taller de hechicería), publicada por Kodansha en 2016.

La historia, ambientada en un mundo mágico, sigue a Coco, una niña fascinada por los hechiceros que descubre los secretos de la magia y se enfrenta a sus consecuencias.
