Wow Tree - Carly Gledhill

Apple and Pip are running through the woods hitting things with sticks when – “OUCH!” – they discover the Wow Tree, the only talking tree in the forest.

Wow Tree hasn’t had anyone to talk to before, and he's never wanted to ask for help. But when Apple and Pip realize they’re able to fix Wow Tree’s itchy leaves and combat the chilly winds and hungry woodpeckers, they’re only too happy to lend a hand! The only problem is they need to get home before the sun goes down – they’re too afraid of the dark.

Well, the Wow Tree knows a thing or two about the dark. He spends half his life in the dark, and he doesn’t mind it one bit! So, when Apple and Pip accidentally fall into a COMPLETELY DARK hole, it’s very lucky that the Wow Tree is nearby to help them find their way.

Told with a perfect mixture of fun illustrations and simple text, Carly Gledhill’s funny, charming story about unusual friends discovering just how much they need each other is perfect for early readers.
