Synopsis "Wulfestieg: Ein Improvisation (in German)"

Heinz Wulfestieg war Jazztrompeter und der Halbbruder von Hildegard Knef. Er starb 1978 mit nur 43 Jahren unter dubiosen Umständen in Berlin. In seinem Roman Wulfstieg verarbeitet der Autor die Geschichte des Musikers als literarische Improvisation, frei interpretiert im Sinne einer fiktionalen Gestaltung. Die Handlung des Romans basiert zwar auf dem Leben von Heinz Wulfestieg, ist aber, was die geschilderten Orte, Ereignisse und Personen angeht, über weite Strecken frei erfunden. Es handelt sich ausdrücklich nicht um die Biografie eines Musikers, sondern um ein Prosawerk, in dem sich Realität und fiktionales Erzählen mischen. Wesentlich für den Roman sind die Bezüge zur Familie Hildegard Knef, zum Jazz, zur Geschichte des Jazz, zu Jazz-Musikern. Psychologische Studie, Zeitkolorit der 1970er Jahre und musikalischer Hintergrund bilden die Eckpfeiler des Romans. Der Text gliedert sich in die Kapitel Vorspiel, Erste Kadenz, Zweite Kadenz, Dritte Kadenz, Vierte Kadenz, Fünfte Kadenz, Sechste Kadenz und Coda.
