Die Welt, sprich: das Universum mit seinen uns mittlerweile ziemlich vertrauten Gesetzen, bleibt uns letztlich völlig unverständlich, solange der Sinn des gesamten Unternehmens im Dunkeln verharrt. Wir sehen also zumeist nur Z 1, den uns bekannten empirischen Zustand. Die Frage nach dem Weshalb?, Wodurch?, Woher? und Wohin? bleibt so lange völlig ungeklärt, bis man nicht den uns völlig unbekannten, allerdings komplementären und daher auch näherungsweise begreifbaren Zustand Z 2 theoretisch zu erfassen sucht. Die vorliegende Schrift geht über eine Diskussion des Zeitbegriffs, der Funktion des Lichts sowie der Existenz jenen gar nicht so düsteren Weg von der Physik zur Metaphysik. Und beantwortet dabei auch die uralte Frage des Subjekts, nämlich jene, was der Sinn des individuellen Lebens ist.
