Chris Carter
Chris Carter is an American writer, producer, and director born on October 13, 1956, in Bellflower, California. He graduated in journalism from California State University in Long Beach and worked as an editor at Surfing Magazine before venturing into writing scripts for television and film

In 1993, Carter created the successful science fiction series The X-Files, which aired until 2002 and then returned in 2016 and 2018. The series, which combines elements of horror, conspiracy, and the supernatural, became a cultural phenomenon and earned Carter several awards, including three Golden Globes and eight Emmy nominations
Wikipedia

Besides The X-Files, Carter developed other series such as Millennium (1996), Harsh Realm (1999), and The Lone Gunmen (2001), though with less success in terms of audience. In cinema, he wrote and directed two films based on The X-Files: The X-Files (1998) and The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008)

In 2013, Carter served as executive producer on the tenth season of The X-Files, a continuation in comic book format published by IDW Publishing. This new phase, written by Joe Harris, resumed the plot of the original series, with Carter overseeing that the continuity and characteristic tone of the program were maintained
