Georgia Hunter
Georgia Hunter is an American writer born in Massachusetts and residing in Connecticut, known for her historical novel We Were the Lucky Ones (2017), inspired by the real story of her Polish Jewish family during the Holocaust. She discovered this heritage at 15, leading to a decade-long research that culminated in the publication of the work, translated into more than 20 languages and adapted in 2024 as a miniseries by Hulu. The novel was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award in 2017 and won the Connecticut Book Award in 2018.
