Janne Teller
Janne Teller (Copenhagen, April 8, 1964) is a Danish writer of Austro-German descent, known for addressing existential and ethical themes in her works that often spark controversial debates. Before dedicating herself fully to literature in 1995, she worked in humanitarian conflict resolution for the United Nations and the European Union in various African countries, such as Tanzania, Mozambique, and Bangladesh.

Among her most notable works are "Odin's Island" (1999), a novel that explores religious and political fanaticism; "Nothing" (2000), a philosophical novel that has been translated into more than 25 languages and has sparked broad debates; and "War" (2004), a novel that invites reflection on the refugee experience. Her literature has been awarded various prizes, including the Michael L. Printz Honor Book in 2011 for "Nothing".
