Miguel Alcubierre
Miguel Alcubierre Moya (Mexico City, March 28, 1964) is a Mexican theoretical physicist known for his contributions to general relativity. He is especially famous for developing the "Alcubierre metric" in 1994, a mathematical model that suggests the possibility of traveling faster than light without violating the laws of physics established by Einstein.
In 2022, along with science communicator Sergio de Régules, he published "Surfing Space-Time: A Scientist Among Black Holes and Faster-Than-Light Travel", a popular science book that explores concepts such as gravitational waves and black holes.
