Nik
Cristian Gustavo Dzwonik, known as Nik, is an Argentine cartoonist and graphic humorist born in Buenos Aires on March 18, 1971. A graduate of the Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires and a graphic designer from the University of Buenos Aires, he began his professional career at 17 years old in the magazine Muy Interesante. Since 1992 he has worked at the newspaper La Nación, where in 1997 he created Gaturro, his most emblematic character. Gaturro has been the protagonist of more than 40 books, a 3D animated movie, and the virtual world Mundo Gaturro, reaching audiences in Latin America, the United States, Spain, and France
Nik has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Konex de Platino Award in 2002 as the best graphic humorist, and on five occasions the Award from the Inter-American Press Society. His work has been translated into several languages and published internationally. Additionally, he has collaborated with organizations such as UNICEF and the Leer Foundation in initiatives promoting reading and children's rights.
