Bringing a new fascinating combination of fiction and nonfiction, Called By Name is a special read that features the Biblical study, He Is, inside the fictional story of a woman who wants desperately to know God more. When Talia faces starting over in a new place with a new dream, she's not entirely sure she can handle the challenge. The one thing she's lacked all her life is a firm foundation that would never move, shift, or crumble on her, and she's determined that she will never again be left shaken and broken. But in her new home of Alabama, new relationships promise a different experience. Bama born and bred chef Noah has a charming smile and a great sense of humor, but his outlook on life and God proves challenging. Especially since, in her still relatively new faith, the relationship Talia wants the most is the one with Jesus. But hope blooms when she finds a friend and mentor in wise and kind Angie. Along with a mysterious book called "He Is," Angie shares a perspective of life that changes everything. Reading through the chapters of "He Is" with Angie as her guide and Noah as a new, exciting possibility, Talia begins to believe she may have found the family her heart has always craved. Even more, she discovers a journey through the names of God that change not only how she views God but also how she loves Him. But the most important thing she learns is that she, yes even she, is fully known, unconditionally loved, and intentionally CALLED BY NAME. "A.C. Neal has a deep, personal relationship with God and her greatest desire is for others to know him like she does -- and through 'Called By Name, ' she delivers on that desire. She takes a creative approach to help readers know more about who God is and how much he loves them. Readers will finish desiring more of God, just as she does."- Pastor Abby Ecker, The Journey
