A NEW MUSIC EDITION OF 10 ORIGINAL CAROLS COMPOSED FOR VARIOUS CHORAL ENSEMBLES Have you spent months searching for carols that will suit the combination of voices you have available? Are you looking for something a bit different? Maybe you wish for the importance to be placed on the harmonies, with some interesting clashes and resolutions? Or perhaps you seek a 'challenge' in the words, or some intriguing questions on which the listener can reflect? Here are 10 carols using a variety of ensemble combinations and styles. There are 9 original carols and a specially written arrangement using my original lyrics and the traditional tune - Londonderry Air. I hope you find the words evocative and expressive. The voice parts range from SSA (or SAA) through to SATB and the styles vary from light 'pop' music to the more traditional type carol. They have been performed in various types of venue across the country i.e. Cathedral, church, school, stately home, theatre and cinema etc. (even accompanied on one occasion by a Wurlitzer cinema organ)!
