Except Kyrielle Veritas has other plans. The Fire Sprite spent years clawing her way out of the darkness, so when she sees the Dragon shifter drowning in self-pity and hate, it’s pure instinct to help - even if they agreed months ago to keep their distance.

When things begin to spiral out of control, Trinte and Kyrielle are forced to spark an unlikely alliance that shifts into an inferno. One by one, emotional barriers fall, stripping bare their guarded truths.

Together, the unlikely pair learns that abusers might return ...But they can die just as easily as everyone else.
